A Good Golf Bag is a Beautiful Thing
PJ FORBESFew things are more important to a golfer than a functional, good looking golf bag. Bags come in a variety of shapes and sizes so before purchasing a bag, consider your style of play, number of golf clubs you currently own and may want to own in the future.
You may choose a golf bag designed to fit on a roll cart or one that is comfortable to sling over your shoulder. Some golf clubs come with built-in stands. Your bag should offer protection for your clubs however the harder shells tend to be heavier then the softer, fabric ones. Another consideration on golf bag material may be how and if you transport your clubs long distances.
Bags which feature tubes further protect your precious clubs. Tubes make for easy access to clubs, prevent clubs tangling and ease wear and tear on grips. Once again your style of play will determine whether tubes are a benefit or interference.
You can never have too many pockets. Look for one with ample space for golf bag hood, golf balls, tees, divot tool, gloves, towels, a windbreaker, sunscreen and refreshments; all those extras needed to improve your play.
